We operate in a fast-moving, competitive industry where relationships, speed, credibility, and execution matter. We are looking for a business development professional who knows how to open doors, create opportunities, and close profitable merchant accounts.

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly driven Business Development Manager to generate new merchant relationships, build strategic referral channels, and aggressively expand our market presence.

This is not a passive account management role. We need a true sales hunter — someone who can identify prospects, get in front of business owners, leverage an existing network, create urgency, overcome objections, and close deals.

The ideal candidate has strong sales instincts, excellent people skills, a deep understanding of merchant services or fintech, and a proven ability to generate new business through direct outreach, warm introductions, referral partners, networking, and industry relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Prospect, pursue, and close new merchant accounts across target industries.
\n
• Build a strong pipeline of qualified business opportunities through outbound sales, networking, referrals, events, partnerships, and direct business-owner engagement.
\n
• Develop relationships with merchants, business owners, operators, referral partners, ISOs, agents, brokers, and strategic centers of influence.
\n
• Sell payment processing solutions, dual pricing, surcharge programs, POS systems, gateways, MCA solutions, and related merchant services products.
\n
• Identify merchant pain points and position National E-Payment’s solutions in a clear, compelling, and commercially effective way.
\n
• Own the full sales cycle from prospecting through discovery, proposal, negotiation, closing, and handoff.
\n
• Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
\n
• Maintain accurate pipeline activity, deal status, follow-ups, and sales notes in the CRM.
\n
• Represent the company professionally in meetings, calls, trade events, networking opportunities, and client-facing interactions.
\n
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and strong merchant experience after the deal closes.
\n
• Stay current on payment industry trends, competitor offerings, pricing models, compliance updates, and merchant needs.
\n
• Bring market intelligence, relationship opportunities, and strategic sales ideas to leadership.
\n

• An existing network of merchants, business owners, referral partners, ISOs, agents, brokers, or industry contacts.
\n
• High energy, strong follow-through, and the discipline to manage a sales pipeline.
\n
• Confidence handling objections and competing against other processors or providers.
\n
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
\n
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, revenue-driven environment.
\n
• Accountability for goals, numbers, and measurable sales results.
\n
• Must have a team of Agents to join us at the time of hire.
\n

Qualifications

\n
• 5+ years of sales, business development, merchant services, fintech, payments, ISO, POS, MCA, or financial services experience.
\n
• Proven success acquiring new clients, merchants, or business accounts.
\n
• Existing book of relationships or strong network within merchant services, business ownership, financial services, retail, hospitality, professional services, or related industries strongly preferred.
\n
• Strong understanding of payment processing, POS systems, gateways, surcharge, dual pricing, and/or cash advance products.
\n
• Experience managing a sales pipeline and using CRM platforms.
\n
• Strong negotiation, presentation, relationship-building, and closing skills.
\n
• Self-motivated, competitive, professional, and results-oriented.
\n
